Please review Case Study 28: Governance and Decision-Making in Hospital-Based Surgical Services on pg. 621 of the textbook. This case study reinforces concepts from our studies up to this point. Use your knowledge and reference text to answer the following questions:

1. What should be the key elements of the Governance Council’s charter?

2.Should some issues or policies be sacrosanct, meaning they are off the table for the Governance Council? If so, what might those be?

3. Who should be on the Governance Council? Should new hospital surgical services management be recruited and included? What personality traits, leadership experience, level of surgical activity at the hospital, and professional skills, including surgical specialties, should be prioritized when selecting council members?
