Milestone One
For Milestone One, review the list of dilemmas presented in the document linked below in the Supporting Materials section and select a topic to begin your investigation. Then, provide an initial argument representing one side of your chosen topic.
This paper must be written in a scholarly manner using APA formatting and resources from the library and scholarly websites that end in .gov, .edu, .org, or .mil. Nothing will be accepted from open sources, such as Wikipedia. Your paper should be at least 2 pages and include at least two scholarly resources on your topic.
Note that when you submit your final project paper in Module Seven, you must have at least four scholarly sources on your topic. Each topic on the dilemma list has beginning resources that discuss the topic, frame the debate, and provide support for locating scholarly sources.
Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria:
I. Topic Selection, Questions, and Problems
A. Select an ethical dilemma within a topic area.
B. Describe your personal interest in the selected ethical dilemma.
C. List any potential problems related to the ethical dilemma.
D. List any questions you have about the ethical dilemma.
II. Introduction: Compose an introduction that provides background information on the topic and premise of the ethical dilemma, its main arguments, and a summary of the evidence used to support the arguments.
A. Provide background on the dilemma. What subject is it addressing? Why have you chosen this dilemma?
B. Briefly explain the evidence that supports the arguments. What evidence do they use to back up their arguments and support their claims? Is the evidence free from bias and assumptions? Does it successfully back up a coherent argument?
C. Analyze the dilemma by considering multiple dimensions and sides, using scholarly sources.
D. Discuss which ethical theories apply to your topic, using scholarly sources.
What to Submit
The submission must be a Microsoft Word document that is 2 pages in length and written in full APA format. Use double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, one-inch margins, and discipline-appropriate citations. Incorporate at least two scholarly resources following APA guidelines for citations and listing references.
