STEM Education Partner Landscape Analysis in Canada/North America (Nonprofit & Organizational Research)
Context:
A defense and security company based in Ottawa, Canada is building a corporate STEM outreach program for K–12 students. They need to evaluate potential nonprofit/organizational partners.
An example of what the program might look like at a high level:
Phase 1: Finalize partnerships; co-develop curriculum and teacher toolkit
Phase 2: Pilot launch, mentor onboarding, school kickoff, introduce challenges
Phase 3: Students investigate, design, and build solutions with mentor support
Phase 4: Regional showcase and pilot evaluation
Deliverable (what you must do):
A research report filling out a structured table with these exact columns for each organization: Description/Comments, Website, Rationale for Partnership, HQ Location, Existing Corporate Partners, Certifications/Charitable Status, and Point of Contact (named individuals where possible). Please include more of your discoveries which does not fit the table just below the table or in a separate document. I have already filled out some fields, you can use those as reference, but do not touch the same rows.
The objective is to draft a type of implementation blueprint, to answer questions like:
- How do you reach and onboard schools?
- How is the curriculum structured and delivered?
- How are STEM kits procured, distributed, and managed? (who pays, ship, owns them?)
- How are volunteer mentors coordinated at scale?
- How to recruit and manage volunteer mentors?
- How to get school to say yes?
- What does it look like week by week?
You are not required to answer those questions, but do keep them in mind while you do the research.
Organizations to research:
- Redshifted (Ottawa based)
- Technovation (Canadian?)
- whichever two FREE rows of your choosing
Geography priority: Canada or US
Format is not restricted, I only ask for proper citation please.
