Architecture Analysis

Paper Prompt:

Focus on two works of architecture (written or built) and show how these works have interpreted your research topic in the past and the present.

a) Identify two works (written or built), one in the past (19th, or early 20th century) and one in the present (alive or where their office is still in operation), who have worked with the same concept (topic) and who were discussed in the course so far.

b) Describe how their position towards the topic compares and contrasts.

  • Write 800 words (+/- 50); use 8.5 x 11 portrait format; for the body text, use Arial, font size 11, and line spacing 1.5; leave 1-inch margins on both sides; use images to illustrate your argument, and write captions for these images.

  • Make sure to properly footnote your paper. Wikipedia is not acceptable as a reference; instead, you need to go to the original text and give the author, title, publisher, and page numbers from the book, journal, etc.

  • IMPORTANT: Write in a precise and concise manner. Edit your paper numerous times and work on its formulation and the incorporation of the images.
