Overview
In direct practice at the micro-level, social workers must often learn about many different aspects of a client's life to develop intervention options specifically for that client. The Biological, Psychological, Social, and Spiritual, also known as the BioPsychoSocialSpiritual (BPSS), culturally informed assessment and intervention plan is a detailed document designed to organize and gather this information. This assignment will give you the opportunity to report and apply information you gathered during your role plays in the second half of this course. Additionally, you will apply evidence-based, scholarly research to your client's situation.
By successfully completing this assignment, you will demonstrate your proficiency in the following EPAs and generalist practices:

- Summarize a current scholarly article that addresses a client's case from an ecological systems perspective and attach the article to the assignment.

Instructions
Create an Assessment Report
- Use the Biopsychosocialspiritual Assessment Template [DOCX] to prepare a highly factual, detailed biopsychosocialspiritual assessment report about a mock client you worked with in one of your synchronous sessions.
- In the template, replace the italicized text with the assessment information about the client.
- Write the Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual (BPSS), Culturally-Informed assessment and intervention plan in a professional format, rather than as a course paper.
- Be sure to maintain culturally competent language, including preferred gender and pronouns, etc., throughout the document.
Summarize a Related Scholarly Article
- In addition to completing the biopsychosocialspiritual assessment, search for and cite a current scholarly (peer-reviewed journal) article published within the last five (5) years that addresses the client's history, presenting problem, and/or goals, barriers, and approaches from the ecological systems perspective.
- Summarize the article. In your summary, apply the ecological systems perspective to the client's history, presenting problem, and/or goals, barriers, and approaches identified. You must state your specific reason for selecting the article.
- Your written work should be clearly written with bolded identifying headings for each section and without errors that detract from the content.

- Attach your completed Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual (BPSS), Culturally-Informed assessment document in the correct assignment area by the due date.
- Attach a copy of the article (a link for the article is not sufficient) in your assignment submission in the correct assignment area by the due date.

- Cited resources: Cite and reference a minimum of one scholarly source. All literature cited should be peer reviewed and most should be published within the past five years.
- Font and font size: Times New Roman, 12 point.
- Due date: Assignment must be submitted to your instructor in the courseroom no later than 11:59 p.m. on Sunday of this week.
